We are recruiting for two full‑time Assistant Environment Protection Officers on a rolling 3‑month contract.
Locations: Falkirk, Alloa, Stirling & Perth or Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders.
Overview
As an Assistant Environment Protection Officer you will support regulatory activities for the chosen region, process and report information, carry out routine compliance assessment, respond to low‑level complaints and handle first‑level enquiries.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for the regulatory activities of the Falkirk, Alloa, Stirling & Perth team or the Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders team.
- Assist team members in the processing and reporting of information and data.
- Conduct routine compliance assessment work and low‑level complaint response and enforcement work.
- Respond to first‑level enquiries.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience or qualification to SCQF Level 6‑7 (e.g., Scottish Highers or equivalent).
- Effective communication skills with a range of stakeholders, preferably experience communicating with business owners and/or members of the public.
- Ability to triage work and priorities, escalating risks and issues where necessary.
- Ability to work within a fast‑paced team environment.
