We are recruiting for a full time Scientist (Hydrogeologist) on a permanent basis.
Base location: Edinburgh, Motherwell or Dingwall.

As Scientist (Hydrogeologist), that involves:
- Perform groundwater monitoring, quantitative and qualitative risk assessment, and reporting work using a range of specified methods and QA procedures.
- Undertake scientific surveys and analysis, reporting analytical data and provide advice and information on its significance.
- Participate in development work and investigative studies, liaising with internal and external customers as required.
- Prepare written and oral reports which require the synthesis of data and draw conclusions and provide advice to internal and external customers.
- Plan and undertake fieldwork; a full UK driving licence is essential.
This is a highly important role within our Evidence & Water Resilience portfolio, which means you’ll need:
- Relevant experience or qualification in a scientific discipline equivalent to SCQF Level 8-10.
- Proven experience of working in hydrogeology.
- Experience of undertaking and co‑ordinating environmental fieldwork and adhering to health and safety policy and guidance.
- Demonstrable experience in managing, analysing and interpreting large data sets and communicating outputs clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to manage own workload and successfully deliver set objectives.
