We are recruiting for a full time Senior Business Analyst (Digital Waste Tracking) on a fixed term basis for 23 months. Your passion has never had a greater purpose. Key Responsibilities

  • Taking a lead role in engagement with representatives from across the organisation and wider UK DWT project to plan, design and carry out research activities with users; understand business operations and needs and identify tools, interfaces and processes which will enable SEPA to manage and use DWT data. This will include coordination across SEPA teams and with other Agencies.
  • Be the key contact on data and digital related aspects of digital waste tracking project development, working in partnership with colleagues in other UK regulators and devolved governments.
  • Coordinate with these partners to ensure the DWT system meets SEPA’s business and user needs and is aligned with organisational goals. This role will involve the active participation in many multi‑agency groups.
  • Taking a lead role in identifying and elaborating user and business needs to enable effective design, development and testing of DWT system and data (for SEPA) and use feedback from this to inform future priorities and requirements.
  • Provide SEPA support to the wider UK DWT project data testing environment.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure DWT is embedded in the wider organisation digital transformation programme.
  • This digital specialist role will be a critical part of SEPA’s Digital Waste Tracking (DWT) project and will work alongside our User Centred Design Team.
  • Responsible for undertaking various aspects of user research, business analysis and service design to inform and align with DWT related policy decisions and strategy, both internally within SEPA and more broadly with Scottish Government and Defra.

Respect for your expertise

  • Relevant experience or qualification to SCQF Level 8‑10 (minimum HND level).
  • Experience of delivering business solutions in alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • A solid track record of business analysis in a data/digital/ICT project environment, with knowledge and use of business analysis techniques and practices.
  • Ability to lead the analysis, identification, design, prioritisation and implementation of processes which will be centred around the digital waste tracking system.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to articulate complex content to a wide range of stakeholders, clarifying the technical and business needs through consultation and consideration of consequences.
