We are recruiting for a full time Enterprise Architect on a fixed term basis for 23 months. Interviews are expected to take place on Friday, 5th of June.

The Enterprise Architect will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s digital future. Working at a strategic level, the post holder will be responsible for designing and maintaining the overall enterprise architecture, ensuring that digital systems, data and processes are aligned with organisational priorities and the approved Digital Strategy. This includes setting architectural standards, developing frameworks and roadmaps, and guiding technology choices to ensure solutions are coherent, scalable and fit for long‑term transformation.

The role will work closely with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and specialist architects to translate strategic aims into practical, implementable designs. The Enterprise Architect will provide assurance that digital initiatives are integrated across the organisation, balance innovation with risk management, and ensure that investment decisions deliver sustainable value. Through strong architectural leadership, the post holder will enable effective digital transformation, modernised services and improved organisational efficiency.

This is a highly important role within our Finance, Modernisation & Digital portfolio which means you will need:

  • Postgraduate qualification or a formal Enterprise Architecture qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive data architecture experience at a senior level across public and private sectors, with a strong understanding of public sector reform.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain enterprise architectures (business, data, application and technology) and translate strategy into roadmaps.
  • Strong technical knowledge across cloud platforms, integration patterns, and data management, with a capability in standards, solution design and system integration.
  • Excellent stakeholder leadership and communication, including chairing governance boards and leading/managing technical specialists; with the ability to simplify complexity.
