Assistant Environment Protection Officer
We are recruiting for 2 full time Assistant Environment Protection Officers on a rolling 3 month contract. Due to the nature of this role, areas covered will be either Falkirk, Alloa, Stirling & Perth or Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders.
Responsibilities
- Provides support for the regulatory activities of the Falkirk, Alloa, Stirling & Perth team or the Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders Team
- Supports team members in the processing and reporting of information and data
- Routine compliance assessment work and low-level complaint response and enforcement work
- Responding to first level enquiries
Qualifications
- Relevant experience or qualification to SCQF Level 6-7 (such as Scottish Highers or equivalent)
- Effective communication skills with a range of stakeholders, preferably experience in communicating with business owners and/or members of the public
- Ability to triage work and prioritise, escalating risks and issues where necessary
- Ability to work within a fast‑paced team environment
