Hamilton College is a non-denominational Christian independent school for children and young people from the ages of 2-18. The school encompasses Nursery, Junior, Middle and Upper levels generating a truly 'family' atmosphere for the individual as they journey through the school.

Hamilton College is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Religious & Moral Education (RMPS & RME) to join our academic team on a part-time basis, working 0.65 FTE over four days each week. We welcome applications from teachers of RME/RMPS to apply for this position.

The Expressive Arts and RE Department has grown over the years, and we are looking for the right person to maintain the high standards of this curricular area of the school and support the Christian ethos of Hamilton College. We seek someone who will inspire, develop, & instil confidence in our learners. We welcome applications from those who are passionate about their subject and who mirror the values of our school in their lessons with young people.

The successful applicant will be expected to deliver core RME to Primary 7 (Transitus) through to S2, National 4 RMPS through S3 & S4, Higher RMPS for S5/6 and core RME to S5/ S6. It is desirable but not essential to have a dual qualification.

The successful applicant should be registered with GTCS & must be either an existing member of the PVG Scheme or be prepared to join this scheme and prove their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment. An offer of employment will be subject to two satisfactory references and a clean report from Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme.
