Situated on the beautiful Moray Coast in the North of Scotland, Gordonstoun is widely recognised as the world leader in Character Education. We run a prestigious and well-established Summer School for children aged 8-16 from approximately 40 nationalities. Each year we create a vibrant international community where our staff play a critical role in creating a happy and formative summer experience for our students.
We are looking to recruit an Outdoor Education Instructor (based on Gordonstoun campus).
Course Dates – Tuesday 30 June 2026 – Monday 3 August 2026.
Applicants must have a relevant breadth of outdoor education experience and qualifications. Experience of working in an education, boarding school environment is also required. We are looking for applicants who have qualifications in a minimum of two different disciplines from the following list:
- Climbing Wall Instructor
- Rock Climbing Instructor
- Lowland Leader
- Hill and Moorland
- Summer Mountain Leader
- Cyle Ride Leader
- Mountain Bike Leader - Level 2
- Paddle Sports Instructor (Assessed in Kayak)
- Paddle Sports Leader (Assessed in Kayak)
- Touring Leader (Assessed in Kayak)
- Orienteering Instructor Award
- Archery UK Instructor
Residential accommodation with full board is provided and a competitive salary based on experience.
