The Edinburgh Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Snare Drum teacher from August 2025 to join our thriving Pipe Band team, engaged on a permanent, term-time salaried basis.
We welcome applications from individuals with relevant teaching qualifications and/or experience. The successful candidate should be able to teach Snare Drum from primary 4 to S6 as well as help develop the Pipe Band programme. Teaching will take place in both the Junior and the Senior schools.
The appointed teacher may be engaged at other times throughout the year where rehearsals, competitions or performances both in and out of school as required, such as the CCF events, RSPBA and Non-RSPBA competitions, as well as other events. They would be expected to play a full role within the pipe band team to organise events, trips and competitions.
