Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tenor Drumming Instructor to join Dollar Academy’s successful Pipe Band programme. We seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated and influential character with a professional approach to join our team of like-minded staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one tuition to pupils aged 7-18.
  • Mentor all Pipe Band drum sections.
  • Run group sessions and band practices.
  • Commit to weekend contest dates throughout the indoor and outdoor contest season at local and major championships, and attend summer practice sessions.
  • Work well within the team and communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents.
  • Be self‑employed, submit monthly invoices to the Academy, and commit to four days per week.

Requirements

  • Strong track record in pipe bands.
  • Firm understanding, experience and passion for teaching the tenor drum.
  • Professional, enthusiastic, highly motivated and influential character.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Disclosure Scotland Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme clearance (guaranteed by the Academy).
