We are seeking a reliable Driver to join our Day Pupil Transport team. This is a meaningful and rewarding role at the heart of our school community, ensuring that pupils begin and end each day with a safe, comfortable, and welcoming journey. As the first and last point of contact for many of our young people, you will play an important part in creating a positive daily experience for them and supporting the smooth running of our transport service.
This role is ideal for someone seeking a second job, or for a retired individual looking for flexible and meaningful part‑time work.
Working HoursThis position offers 22 hours per week, term‑time only, worked across six days. A typical weekly schedule is:
- Monday to Friday: 06:00‑08:00 and 19:00‑21:00
- Saturday: 06:00‑08:00
- A D1 qualification
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Experience driving 17‑seater minibuses (preferred but not essential)
- Dependable, safety‑conscious, and enjoys interacting with pupils and colleagues
Alongside your driving duties, you will also be expected to perform basic administration and fault reporting for your vehicle and comply with all relevant legislation.
