We are seeking a Business & Finance Manager to join our Leadership Team. This is a key strategic and operational leadership role responsible for overseeing the school's finance, business administration, compliance, HR, estates and support services.
Working closely with the Head of School and Trustees, the successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership whilst ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of all non-teaching operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Oversee payroll, procurement, invoicing and fee management.
- Provide financial reports and strategic advice to the Head of School and Trustees.
- Manage school operations including administration, estates, IT, catering, cleaning and contracted services.
- Ensure compliance with charity regulations, health and safety requirements, GDPR and other statutory obligations.
- Support HR processes including recruitment, onboarding and payroll oversight.
- Lead operational improvement and contribute to the school's long-term sustainability and development.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Proven experience in finance, business management, operations or school bursary work.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience using financial systems and Excel.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience within education, charitable organisations or the independent school sector would be advantageous.

Renumeration
The position is Full Time, Permanent, Year-Round
Salary: Β£50,000 - Β£60,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)
