Overview

The Junior School is recruiting for an After School and Holiday Club Deputy Manager to join the ePlus department on a temporary basis until August 2026. The position is available immediately (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). Hours of work will be between 1.30pm and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday during term time and on a rota basis (26.25 hours) during holiday periods. A degree of flexibility is required. The postholder will be placed on the ESMS Support Staff Salary Scales within the range of point 25 – 28, equivalent to £20,207 to £22,205 pro-rated per annum. Remuneration depends on skills and experience. The role will be based at the Queensferry Road site during term time and at the Ravelston site during holiday periods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an effective and motivated team to deliver high quality out of school care that meets the needs of children and their families.
  • Provide daily support to the Practitioner and evaluate the provision on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure a consistent approach throughout the provision, support children and staff, and maintain staff ratios on the floor.

Qualifications and attributes

  • Kind, enthusiastic and responsible with a focus on the interests of children and teamwork.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Recognised childcare qualification.
  • Strong organisational skills.
