Erskine Stewart Melville are currently recruiting for an Administration Assistant to join the School Operations Team on a permanent basis from 17 August 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks). The role is term time plus one week. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either a full‑time (1.0 FTE) position or a part‑time (0.5 FTE) appointment. Depending on the applicant pool and organisational needs, the role may be filled by one full‑time employee or two part‑time employees sharing the responsibilities.

The working hours for the full‑time role would be 41.09 hours per week during term time and the salary is £24,024. The working hours for the part‑time role would be 20.5455 hours per week during term time and the salary is £12,012.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative assistance to other members of the School Operations Teams
  • Sending relevant communications to staff, students and parents, as need be
  • Supporting the Admissions Team

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a busy and dynamic office environment
  • Experience of database administration
  • Ideally experience working in a school or education environment

Eligibility

ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
