As Head of People & Organisational Development, you will develop and implement a People Strategy aligned with our strategic objectives, ensuring that both our programmes and the people we support remain at the heart of our work. You will lead and embed a positive organisational culture and behavioural framework rooted in our core values: Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Aspiration, and Reflection. Additionally, you will oversee the Learning & Development Strategy, ensuring it is effectively implemented to drive organisational growth, leadership development, employee skills, and career progression.
We are looking for an experienced HR professional (Chartered MCIPD or equivalent) with expertise across the full Human Resources and Organisational Development portfolio, including the development of an effective People Strategy. As a values-driven leader, you will lead by example, bringing current knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice. You will also have direct experience of leading a high-performing, customer-focused HR function or team, ensuring excellence in service delivery.

What we’re looking for:
- A degree in Health & Social Care, Youth Work, Community Development, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in service delivery roles within the third sector or public sector.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams.
- Flexible, innovative, and solution-focused approach to leadership and service delivery.
- Experience in service planning, delivery, and evaluation, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
- Strong knowledge and experience of safeguarding, compliance, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, financial management, and strategic thinking skills.
- A deep understanding of the needs of vulnerable children, young people, and families.

Purpose of Job
To develop and deliver communications projects, services and campaigns which support the delivery of our mission. To take the lead on enhancing our website, bringing capability of design for digital and publications in-house, and producing assets across our platforms and channels. To tell the story of our work, the impact it has on forces children and young people, equipping colleagues with the communications and marketing tools to help deliver upon our strategic plans.
