Three pillars support CLIMAVORE's work: ReLearning, ReGrowing, and ReBuilding. They emphasise the continuation of processes to build new futures.
Mission β Create ways of living on and with the coast as humans change the climate.
Vision β Empower coastal communities, who are the custodians of their land, culture and futures, to review local food and food waste systems and drive a just transition in the wake of the climate and biodiversity crises.
We would welcome applications from those with expertise, knowledge or strong interest in one or more of the following:
- Legal and regulatory matters
- Marine science or aquaculture
- Finance
- Fundraising and income generation
- Food, cooking and food systems

We are particularly interested in people who understand and value the role CLIMAVORE plays within the wider community β environmentally, socially, and economically. This is a voluntary, unpaid role but reasonable expenses for attending quarterly meetings will be covered. Board members are expected to attend meetings regularly, including at least one in person per year.
While we encourage applications from those resident in Skye and Raasay or with strong connections to the area, we also welcome applications from further afield. We are committed to building a diverse board and encourage applications from people from all backgrounds, ages, and perspectives.
Applicants should submit a covering letter of no more than one side of A4 outlining your interest and any relevant experience. Applications should be emailed to shona@climavore.org by 9am on Monday 8th June. To discuss the roles, contact Shona Cameron at shona@climavore.org or phone: 07800857146.
