Role Purpose\n
An exciting opportunity to join the Assessor Service at a time of significant change and development within Valuation for Non-Domestic Rating and Council Tax.
\n
You will provide a dedicated technical support service for the Assessor in the maintenance of the Council Tax Valuation List & Valuation Roll to enhance the quality and quantity of valuation information.
\n
The Role Key tasks in the role include:
\n
• Survey, measurement and inspection of properties.
\n
• Creation and maintenance of digital property files.
\n
• Operation of in-house computer systems and databases.
\n
• Organising own workload to meet deadlines and make best use of resources.
\n
• Preparation of survey reports.
\n
• Research and collation of information required to assist in appeals, proposals and valuations.
\n
• Working as a member of a team.
\n

About You
\n
You will be required to undertake on the job training. You should have good literacy and numeracy skills and be competent using various IT software packages. The postholder will have a positive, professional and responsible attitude and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring strict deadlines are achieved. You will have the ability to work as part of a team or individually.
Essential\n
At least 5 SCE Standard Grades (or equivalent) at Level 3 or above, or equivalent relevant experience
