Job Title: Support Worker

Hours: 30 hours per week

Qualifications: SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.

Training: All training is provided.

Requirements: PVG Adults – we will do this for you! SSSC registered.

The Role

Garden View supports older people who have had an admission to Borders General Hospital and are needing additional assessment prior to returning home or to a more supported living environment.

As a support worker, you will be essential to our reablement work and you will be fully involved in the assessment process and the ongoing delivery and review of care needs.

We provide person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans, which you will be involved in developing.

You will promote the health and well-being of the people we support and ensure their needs are met in an inclusive way.

Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.

Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users’ medication, following relevant training.
