Role Purpose

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Health and Wellbeing staff with general departmental tasks including the preparation of ingredients or pattern cutting for sewing lessons.
  • Collate food orders and order bulk supplies. Rotate food stocks and manage inventory.
  • Clean work areas including regular cleaning of ovens, hobs and fridges, checking and restocking of pupil units, wash and iron laundry. Deep cleaning of cookers on a termly basis. Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
  • Carry out tasks within resources for example collating, photocopying and laminating as requested.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy while updating and maintaining a variety of school records.
  • Assist with practical support during lessons which may involve reading and scribing for assessments.
  • Assistance in PE department including tidying resources and organising lost property.
  • Perform basic checks to ensure general upkeep of kitchen appliances and specialised tools including sewing machines.
  • Undertake further training, personal development or First Aid Training as required.
  • Whole school duties including assisting with the set up of school functions, maintenance of whole school display boards and assisting with supervision of wider school during breaks.
  • Any other duties as requested by Senior members of staff.

Essential

Minimum of 3 Standard Grades at level 1, 2, 3 (or equivalent), including English.
