Role Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person, based in Galashiels Registration Office, to join a small team of Registrars in the Scottish Borders.
This post is part-time and temporary and will suit you if you are a people person and fast learner with excellent IT and Customer Service skills.
There will be various duties including registering of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships and conducting of Civil Ceremonies across the many beautiful venues in our Region.
Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Essential
• At least 5 SCE Standard Grades at level 3 or above (or equivalent) including English or equivalent experience.
• Commitment and ability to achieve an appropriate level of Customer Service qualification or SVQ level 2.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
