Role Purpose

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Assessor Service at a time of significant change and development within Valuation for Non Domestic Rating and Council Tax. We are seeking a Valuation Surveyor to contribute effectively to the Valuation Team, ensuring statutory obligations are met and supporting the Assessor in the delivery of the statutory Valuation for Rating & Council Tax functions.

The Role

As Divisional Rating Valuation Surveyor, you will:

  • be responsible for the valuation of non-domestic subjects within a geographical area
  • organise and control the operational delivery of valuation work relating to the Assessor’s statutory duties of compiling and maintaining the Valuation Roll

The nature of the role lends itself to predominantly home working, with flexibility to attend the office or meetings as required and undertake survey work.

About You

You will be motivated with strong professional credibility and the ability to work within a team. You will have a sound understanding of Valuation for Rating & Council Tax practice and the skills to operate at a senior level.

Essential

  • Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS/FRICS)
  • A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
