This post is based within the Learning Disability Service Business Support Team, SBC Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells. This team is largely responsible for the administrative support to Social Work staff, NHS Clinical staff and Health and Social Care managers within the Community Learning Disability Team and working closely with those from partner agencies (Police, NHS Borders and Support Services) who work with those in our service.

Duties undertaken include:

  • Telephone answering
  • Being the first point of contact by telephone/email to the public and professionals
  • Letter typing and distribution
  • Minute taking and distribution
  • Organising multi-disciplinary meetings
  • Use of SBC applications such as Mosaic, Business World, Intranet, One Drive and Microsoft packages
  • Use of NHS applications such as EMIS, SCI Gateway and MS Teams
  • Scanning, uploading and filing
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail
  • Monitoring of admin team mailboxes
  • Completing Mosaic incoming work and tasks on EMIS
  • Attending meetings

Essential: Minimum of 3 Standard Grades at level 1, 2, 3 (or equivalent) including English.
