The post is based within Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells. Business Support provides support to Environment & Infrastructure services such as Roads, Waste, Passenger Transport, Parks and Open Spaces, and Street Lighting.
As a Business Support Assistant within the Transactions Team, your duties will include:
- Processing Invoices
- Mail Duties - Processing incoming mail
- Dealing with allocated tasks within the Transactions mailbox
- Use of SBC applications such as Business World, Intranet, One Drive and Microsoft packages
- Manipulating and extracting information within Microsoft Excel
- Communicating with Service Management Staff
- Use of bespoke IT applications
- Providing good customer service to internal and external clients
Essential: Minimum of 3 Standard Grades at level 1, 2, 3 (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.
