Role Purpose
The post is based within Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells. Business Support provides support to Environment & Infrastructure services.
As a Modern Apprentice within the Transactions Team, your duties will include:
- Processing Invoices
- Mail Duties - processing incoming mail
- Dealing with allocated tasks within the Transactions mailbox
- Use of SBC applications such as Business World, Intranet, One Drive and Microsoft packages
- Manipulating and extracting information within Microsoft Excel
- Communicating with Service Management Staff
- Use of bespoke IT applications
- Providing Good Customer service to internal and external clients

In accordance with Scottish Borders Council's priorities, you will need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the Apprenticeship) to qualify for this position. Good standard of general education.
