This is an exciting opportunity to join the Assessor Service at a time of significant change and development within Valuation for Non-Domestic Rating and Council Tax.

We are seeking a Graduate Rating Valuation Surveyor to contribute effectively to the Valuation Team, ensuring statutory obligations are met and supporting the Assessor in the delivery of the statutory Valuation for Rating & Council Tax functions.

We provide a structured training plan and have a strong reputation for supporting our trainees to pass the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

As Graduate Rating Valuation Surveyor, you will:

  • Be responsible for survey and valuation work relating to the Assessor’s statutory duties of compiling and maintaining the Valuation Roll and the Council Tax Valuation List.
  • The nature of the role lends itself to predominantly home working, with flexibility to attend the office or meetings as required and undertake survey work.
  • You will have knowledge of Valuation for Rating & Council Tax practice and the knowledge of various valuation methodologies.
  • A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
