Job Description We are looking for 2 Home Care Support Workers who care about making every moment matter, regardless of qualifications or experience. Job Title: Home Care Support Worker Location: Galashiels (or within close proximity of Galashiels) Salary*: £13.35 – £14.03 per hour / £25,769.25 – £27,081.16 pro rata per annum Hours: 2 x 35.25 hours per week Contract: Temporary Maternity Cover until September 2025 (or until earlier return of the post holders) Qualifications: SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential. You can earn whilst you learn! Training: All training is provided. Requirements: PVG Adults – we will do this for you! SSSC registered. A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.** ‘Independence. Choice. Rights. Dignity. The Role Providing person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans. Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary. Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users’ medication, following relevant training.
