Berwickshire High School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and proactive individual to support the school's extensive iPad programme and wider digital learning environment. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting learning and teaching through technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance and support of hundreds of pupil and staff iPads and associated devices, helping to ensure technology remains reliable, secure and ready for use across the school.

The role involves providing first-line technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, preparing and deploying devices, supporting staff and pupils with the effective use of technology, and maintaining accurate records of equipment and repairs. The postholder will work closely with teaching staff, school leaders, central ICT teams and external providers to ensure that digital learning resources continue to support positive outcomes for young people.

Applicants should have strong digital and problem-solving skills, be comfortable working with Apple technologies, and have the ability to communicate effectively with both young people and adults. Previous experience of technical support, device management or customer support environments would be advantageous, although training will be provided for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, approachable, highly organised and committed to helping staff and pupils make the best use of technology in a busy school environment. This is a permanent post working 30 hours per week, with flexibility around the working pattern by agreement.

Essential

  • Proficient in Apple ecosystem, specifically Apple support and function in an educational environment.
  • Relevant ICT, technical support, or digital-skills qualification OR demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to undertake training in MDM systems, Apple technologies, and digital safeguarding.
