Contract Duration: Temporary until 31 March 2027

Role Purpose

To work collaboratively with Community Learning and Development (CLD) partners, including learners and community groups, to plan, deliver, and evaluate targeted learning and development activity as part of a coordinated local CLD plan. This may include adult learning, youth work, and/or community capacity-building activity, informed by local need and national priorities.

All work will be delivered in line with national and local CLD policies, strategies, and quality frameworks, and in accordance with Scottish Borders Council policies and procedures.

Essential

  • Degree or PGCE in Community Learning and Development or equivalent qualifications, or demonstrable extensive experience in this field
  • A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability. Should it be possible to make such an adjustment in order that you can undertake the travel responsibilities of the post, this will be taken into account in consideration for this role.
