Local Authority appointment £96,383 - £98,789; or equivalent NHS appointment salary range.
We are recruiting for a new Chief Officer who will lead our Integration Joint Board and HSCP and make sure this fulfils our ambition to improve the health of the population, enhance the capacity for people to better manage their health and to care for their dependents as well as reduce our dependence on hospital care and ensure patients are cared for in the most appropriate place for their needs.
The successful candidate is likely to come from a Social Work/Care or Health background and will have finely-tuned skills in political astuteness, diplomacy and leadership. They will have significant experience at a strategic level, be able to evidence success in public sector transformation and must excel at communications.
For 2024/25, the delegated budget was £229m. The population served is 118,000.
The next few years will be pivotal in designing seamless, innovative and inclusive services which deliver excellent value for money. This is a critical role operating across health care services in the beautiful Scottish Borders and with a range of third sector providers.
