Role Purpose: You will bring a positive, can do attitude and a commitment to delivering high quality work.

Applicants should have:

  • Experience in one or more relevant service areas, such as:
  • Road surfacing and surface dressing
  • General roads maintenance works including drainage, ditching, kerbing and concrete works
  • Groundworks or hard landscaping
  • Temporary traffic management
  • Winter maintenance
  • Experience in the operation of plant such as mini excavators, dumpers, tractors within a highways or construction environment.
  • A good understanding of site safety and the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Willingness to undertake additional duties to support the needs of the service.
  • Essential:

    • A basic education (Numeracy and literacy)
    • Certified relevant machinery and plant use qualification/s (i.e. Lantra certificates, NPTC, SVQ II, CSCS, CPCS or NPORS cards or to be obtained within a reasonable period)
    • A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
