Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00/37.00 hours per week. If the position you are applying for is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement when the position is term time.
Role Purpose
We have an opportunity for a Business Support Assistant join our Social Work Assessment Team based in the Borders General Hospital (BGH). You\’ll work in a fast paced environment as part of a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team with colleagues from SBC and NHS Borders.. You\’ll assist the team to make a real difference to the lives of patients in BGH and their families to ensure patients are discharged from an acute hospital with the appropriate support. You\’ll be the first point of contact for callers to the team and provide admin support. This is a temporary position to 31 March 2026. You will be employed by Scottish Borders Council and the post is funded by NHS Borders
