A temporary opportunity has arisen for an Area Building Standards Surveyor, based at Council headquarters in Newtown St. Boswells.

You should hold a diploma/degree in building surveying or equivalent formal qualification, or substantial relevant experience in dealing with development applications, negotiations, plan assessment and dealing with dangerous buildings.

Essential:
  • A Diploma/Degree in building surveying or equivalent formal qualification or substantial relevant experience in dealing with development applications, negotiations, plan vetting and dangerous buildings.
  • Proven record of relevant CPD training.
  • A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
