Salary: Starting at £14.53 per hour, after engagement £14.66 per hour with the opportunity to progress to advanced £15.21 per hour inclusive of rural allowance.

Scottish Autism seeks to promote and provide care, education, support and opportunities for autistic people of all ages throughout Scotland. We are currently looking for a handyperson to join our Clannalba team! We are looking to appoint someone who has a ‘Can Do’ attitude, takes pride in their work and loves making a difference!
Situated on the outskirts of Lamington, Biggar, Clannalba House is an old Victorian property which was renovated a number of years ago. Clannalba’s team support a number of young men to live happy, healthy and fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate the general maintenance of all of the spaces, both inside and outside the property.
- Undergo training and coaching to use the digital systems as part of our digital transformation.
- Identify with our organisational values: Compassion, Collaboration, Change Makers & Contribution.
- Previous practical experience of electrical/plumbing/general maintenance works (desirable, not essential).
- A thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation and Fire Safety legislation.
- Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to changes.
- Approach tasks in a creative way.
- Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude and lead by example taking ownership of work-related situations.
- 32 days holiday (pro rata) which increase with your length of service.
