Full Time and Part Time positions available

Pay Scale: Starting at £12.60 per hour, rising to £12.82 after probation. Opportunity to progress to £13.30 at your own pace. £100.80 per sleepover.

About us: At Scottish Autism we acknowledge the specialist support our staff provide to autistic people, therefore those carrying out support work are known as Autism Practitioners. We are committed to supporting over 60 autistic adults across Fife, providing personalised care across a variety of settings. Our services range in their level of complexity and have varying staffing ratios including 1:1 and 2:1 support.

We're looking for dedicated and confident professionals with experience in support roles. We are seeking passionate, experienced and enthusiastic practitioners to make a positive impact on the lives of the people we support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships with the supported people
  • Support people to take part in their chosen activities such as swimming, gym, meals out, cinema, parties, going for walks, going on holiday and much more.
  • Continuously develop personalised support plans with the supported people, their support network, and other stakeholders to ensure their life goals and aspirations are the main focus.
  • Be an active part of their local community and live as independently as possible.
  • Complete all tasks necessary to maintain their home and to support with personal care.

As part of your role, you will be required to undertake shift work, including weekends and evenings, so flexibility towards working hours is key. There are physical elements to this role.

Shift pattern includes days, evenings, sleepovers and weekends. Some contracts have waking nights - ask more for waking night rate and shift pattern.

These posts are subject to a PVG Disclosure check. All new employees must have applied to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months of starting in post and be registered within 6 months. Scottish Autism cover all the costs of PVG membership and SSSC Registration for employees.
