Job Overview
Remit is recruiting on behalf of Dingbro, which has an excellent opportunity for you to commence your career within the Automotive Industry as an Apprentice Vehicle Parts Advisor.
The Apprenticeship Program allows apprentices to work full-time and earn while they learn, putting theory into practice within an automotive training environment.
Your time will be spent in a place of employment where you will learn practical skills from a real working environment. You will be shadowed by a mentor or qualified staff members to learn firsthand how to undertake the role. You will develop good technical knowledge about different vehicle parts and assist customers with their questions. You may be required to lift heavy weights and carry out general housekeeping duties.
Responsibilities
- Dealing with goods inwards and locating vehicle parts within the Parts Department (bin locations).
- Rectifying orders, arranging returns, and dealing with internal and external customers, either face-to-face or over the phone.
- Maintaining stock levels electronically and locating parts from stock (picking).
- Raising invoices and handling cash for parts sold.
- Managing incoming stock to correct bin locations.
- Identifying vehicle parts or customers/orders from a wide range of vehicle parts and accessories, including members of the public and service departments.
- Maintaining an ordered stock room and finding parts efficiently.
- Liaising with other staff members.
Qualifications & Skills
- National 5 or above in English, Math, and one other subject.
- Good core skills in IT, communication, numeracy, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- A driving license is preferred but not essential; local driving duties may be required for deliveries.
- A desire to work in the Automotive Industry, with good computer skills, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work in cold and dirty environments.
Initial assessments and interviews will be conducted by Remit Ltd.
