Job Overview
Remit is recruiting on behalf of Dingbro, which offers an excellent opportunity for you to commence your career within the automotive industry as an Apprentice Vehicle Parts Advisor. The Apprenticeship Program allows apprentices to work full‑time and earn while they learn to apply theory in a real automotive training environment. You will be shadowed by a mentor or qualified staff to gain first‑hand experience, develop technical knowledge of vehicle parts, and assist customers with questions. The role may involve lifting heavy weights and general housekeeping duties.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of vehicle components and their functions.
- How to use parts management systems and catalogues.
- Customer service, communication, and sales techniques.
- Stock control and inventory management processes.
- Problem‑solving and teamwork in a busy environment.
Qualifications
- National 5\’s or above in English, Math and one other subject.
- Good core skills in IT, communication, numeracy, problem solving, and working with others.
- Driving licence preferred but not essential; local driving duties may be required for deliveries.
- Desire to work in the automotive industry, good computer skills, organisation, attention to detail, and ability to work in cold and dirty environments.
