Tela Technology have over 35 years of trusted UK business communications including mobile, fixed-line, internet, unified communications and managed IT support. Tela customers include some of the largest customers in the UK as well as medium-sized companies, retail stores, hotels and the public sector. We work with well known companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Vodaphone, Samsung and many more – you know you\’ll be part of a company who will continue to grow and constantly develop you!

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity based in Aberdeen to join our IT function! Becoming an IT Support Apprentice will mean you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience to Tela’s IT customer base.

Salary: £20,000 per annum.

Working week: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5pm or 9am – 5:30pm

  • Providing end user support, both internally and to customers via telephone, email and on-site.
  • Attending customer sites, as required.
  • Keeping customers regularly updated on open tickets.
  • Notifying customers of impending changes / agreed outages.
  • Escalating tickets when required to the Senior 1st and 2nd Line teams.
  • Completing scheduled tickets in a timely manner and recording time spent on tickets accurately.
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed within the parameters and guidance of our ISO 27001 standard.
  • Updating customer documentation via our CRM.

Throughout your learning journey, you are fully supported by your dedicated QA skills coach and your mentor at work. They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.

Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 8.
