Our Joinery programme is not the conventional joiner apprenticeship. You will gain opportunities for woodworking at college and specific placements on site.
Responsibilities
- Acquire knowledge of various woodwork joints, material suitability, and finishing techniques.
- Learn the unique skills necessary for installation of ship furniture and fittings.
- Gain hands-on experience in metal work by installing ship furniture and cabin modules.
- Receive training in safe operation of both portable and fixed woodworking machines.
- Participate in comprehensive Health and Safety training.
Qualifications
- 5 National 4s (or equivalent), including Maths (excluding application of maths), English, and a Science/Technical subject.
- Proven motivation to learn and develop technical skills.
