Job Overview
Job purpose
We are currently recruiting for a motivated Modern Apprentice to join the team in this homely and welcoming nursery in Glasgow\’s city centre.
You will undertake an apprenticeship in early learning and childcare where you will work and train in the nursery setting to become a qualified childcare practitioner.
The qualification will be delivered by Tinies Glasgow Training Centre (SQA accredited).
This is a full time position in a nursery setting where you will learn how to deliver effective care and learning through a full training programme of learning from the nursery and Tinies training centre.
Alongside this role the successful candidate will be fully supported and guided through their qualification.
This Will Include
Regular meetings with your allocated SVQ assessor, completing written work to support your accreditation and competencies in each area of your qualification and regular training sessions both in person and online.
You will learn to:
- work as part of a team
- develop care and pedagogical skills to support each individual child\’s care and learning needs
- design and deliver learning experiences to develop each child
- support the workings of a nursery
- develop knowledge of theory and child development
- understand the theory and practice around Getting It Right For Every Child
- develop your knowledge of frameworks and curriculum in relation to early learning and childcare
Candidates must be enthusiastic and committed to delivering high quality childcare to all children.
Candidates do not require to have any professional childcare experience however you must be able to show a passion for working with children.
The successful candidate may be eligible for Skills Development Scotland contributions.
