This post is based in Bellshill ML4. Multiple vacancies available in Private Nurseries across Glasgow. When we connect nurseries with passionate apprentices, we are not just filling roles – we are building futures!

Hours & Pay
- Full-time: 35–40 hours per week (Monday–Friday in nursery, or varied hours in Out of School Care settings).
- Rate of Pay: £7.55 per hour (National Minimum Wage for Modern Apprentices).
As a Modern Apprentice, You Will
- Work towards a SCQF Level 7 qualification in partnership with Carousel Training Centre and your Employer.
- Attend monthly training classes and receive regular support from an Assessor.
- Gain the SVQ in Social Services (Children and Young People).
- Build the skills and knowledge to become a qualified Early Years Practitioner in just 12–15 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the staff team to create a safe, positive environment for children.
- Be a valued member of a team.
- Support staff in delivering fun, active, and educational activities.
- Gain hands‑on experience with children from babies to pre‑school age.
- Learn how children develop through creative play and activities.
- Support with personal care tasks (toileting, dressing, feeding).
- Engage with parents/carers to support each child’s learning journey.
- Help with nursery routines, including snack preparation and cleaning equipment.
- Follow nursery safeguarding procedures to ensure all children are safe and secure.
What We’re Looking For
- Enthusiastic and confident individuals who want to work in a Nursery or Out of School Care setting.
- Good communication skills and a genuine desire to support the development of young children.
- The ability to engage and interact enthusiastically with children.
