Overview
One of Scotland\’s largest residential property surveying firms is looking for a motivated, hardworking Modern Apprentice to join their Business Support Team in their Glasgow City Centre office. The role supports surveyors by ensuring survey appointments are booked with customers and surveyor diaries are structured efficiently. The successful candidate will have strong logistical skills, be able to prioritise workload, and will work towards a Level 6 SVQ in Business and Administration with on‑the‑job support. This is an initial 14‑month contract with the opportunity for a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient diary management and customer communication, while learning essential business and administration skills and undertaking on‑the‑job training.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and inputting survey and/or retrofit instructions from varying client bases
- Providing support to Surveyors by arranging day‑to‑day diaries and appointments
- General administration in dealing with incoming and outgoing fax‑to‑email, email enquiries and telephone enquiries
- Providing support to regional office network
- Dealing with incoming phone enquiries from customers and making outgoing calls to customers
- Any other duties which should arise
- You will learn the importance of communication and accuracy
- You will gain skills in organisation and multitasking
- You will be working towards a Level 6 SVQ in Business and Administration whilst learning on the job and will be supported throughout
Requirements / Qualifications
- Motivation, enthusiasm and a strong work ethic
- Organised and able to constantly multi‑task
- Confident and efficient communicator who understands the importance of good customer service
- Able to thrive and enjoy working in a high performing, customer centric environment
- Able to use Microsoft Office software with an aptitude to learn new systems
- The successful candidate will have to complete pre‑employment checks prior to starting
- National 5 qualifications in English and Maths are preferable and National 5 in Administration/ IT/ Business is a bonus
- Customer service experience is beneficial
