Are you a recent school or college leaver looking for your first step into the world of finance? Do you want to be part of a team who put their people at the heart of what they do? Then come and join as a Business Administrator Apprentice in our growing Insolvency and Restructuring team.

Thomson Cooper is an independent firm of Accountants and Business Advisors operating across Central Scotland with offices in Edinburgh and Dunfermline. We have grown from our small beginnings to now having 8 partners and over 100 staff. In recent years our client portfolio has grown significantly offering all accountancy services from tax advice to debt solutions, for a variety of clients in various sectors.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our experienced Insolvency and Restructuring team based in our Dunfermline office. We are offering the successful candidate the opportunity to learn a variety of skills, and to gain an understanding of insolvency and debt solutions, whilst working with a team of highly skilled professionals.
Facing financial difficulties can be a hugely stressful and upsetting time for business owners and individuals alike. Our team prides itself on being able to offer professional advice and appropriate solutions for all such circumstances, whilst ensuring a compassionate and professional level of service is provided to our clients.
You will be part of a fun, strong and committed team where you will learn what it is to be a competent Insolvency and Restructuring professional delivering a key service to our diverse range of clients.
The role will involve data entry using a range of software as well as general administrative duties. Your main role will be to support the case managers and to carry out a variety of tasks relating to our clients’ needs.
The work we do is fast-paced and varied with no two days being the same, so you should enjoy working on different types of tasks and helping wherever needed. If you enjoy problem solving and working as part of a busy professional team, then this is the career for you!

The key requirements are your desire to work in administration, and a willingness to learn and contribute to the work of the team.
Ideally you will have achieved a minimum of 5 x National 5’s (grade B or above) including English.
