Job Overview
Job purpose
We are an accountancy firm based in Paisley looking for a young person to join our team whilst completing a Business and Administration SCQF 6 Modern Apprenticeship.
Daily tasks include-
- Answering incoming calls to the office and forwarding calls to the relevant person
- Reception supervision where necessary which will include meeting & greeting visitors and assist with enquiries.
- Communicating with clients by email and letter
- Providing administrative support to team members
- Providing cover when staff shortages occur due to holidays/sickness
- Updating clients details on internal systems
- Undertake filing and document control
- Photocopying
- Communicating internally using Microsoft Teams and emails
- Scheduling client appointments in the Microsoft Outlook diary and internal systems
- Organising meeting rooms
- Assist in the efficient distribution of mail, both internal and external.
- Assist with the company credit control using the Xero system
- Preparation of bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and other related accountancy matters using computerised accounting systems.
- Inputting and processing information into excel spreadsheets
- Working on basic accounting duties as part of your development
You will learn about data protection, storing and receiving data, diary management, how to use our IT and Database systems. You will also learn how to communicate in a busy office environment, how to manage your workload and customer service skills.
- National 5 Qualifications which should preferably include English.
- Good IT skills and able to use Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Teams.
- Good communication skills.
