Job Overview
Job purpose
This is a full time work based apprenticeship, and throughout the five-year programme you will be working at Kelpie Accounting and Tax based in Inverness. You will get practical experience along with a study programme that will first lead to an honours degree in Accounting from Aberdeen’s Robert Gordon University (RGU), and then the ICAS Chartered Accountant qualification.
For a typical week during the first 3 years while you study with RGU you can expect to work 4 days, and then have 1 day of online study.

- Minimum 4 Bs at Scottish higher or equivalent
- Enjoys sorting problems
- Aptitude for maths
- Can communicate clearly and concisely
- Can demonstrate an understanding of the accounting profession and explain why they think it would suit them
- Has an aptitude for learning new digital systems. It would be expected that you would be become very familiar with Xero & FreeAgent online accounting software.
