Job Overview
Job purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Oak Tree Housing Association, for an Accounting Modern Apprentice to join our Finance team.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Officer, you will undertake a key role within the Finance team, ensuring financial information is accurately recorded, to provide an efficient and effective finance service.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Completion of Accounting SCQF Level 6 Modern Apprenticeship Qualification
- Carrying out daily, key, financial tasks
- Providing high quality services to colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Assisting with processing all supplier invoices
- Assisting with maintaining customer and supplier data and contact information
- Liaising with suppliers on invoice and payment matters
- Taking payment calls from customers
- Supporting the finance team to deliver a streamlined finance service
- Providing administration support for the finance team
- General day to day office administrative tasks
- Other duties, appropriate to the post, over and above those given in the job description
This role offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced finance team, gaining hugely valuable accountancy skills through a structured training programme, supported by Oak Tree HA and the expertise of the Highland Learning Academy (HLA).
Essential: Higher Accountancy (or equivalent) β A, B or C
Desirable: SCQF Level 5 in Accountancy
