In this role you will shape SSE’s growth and investment decisions in Poland and the Nordics by delivering market insights and long-term price forecasts. You’ll work within the international Energy Economics team to combine market understanding with commercial thinking, influencing senior leadership on renewables investments. You will support project development, acquisitions and strategic opportunities with robust market analysis. This role offers a chance to contribute to a safer, cleaner energy transition and to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Develop market insights on fundamentals and long-term power price forecasts for Poland and the Nordics
- Collaborate with colleagues, advisers and industry stakeholders to understand market dynamics
- Provide evidence-based recommendations to senior leaders for opportunities and risk management
- Support project development, acquisitions and commercial opportunities through market- and project-level analysis
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment and share expertise across teams
Key requirements
- Significant experience in power market analysis in Polish and/or Nordic markets
- Experience in market advisory and commercial due diligence with long-term revenue forecasts
- Ability to build and interpret economic and commercial models
- Strong understanding of power market fundamentals, renewables and energy economics
- Clear, engaging communication of complex information to diverse audiences
- Collaborative relationship-building and stakeholder influence
- Degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Energy Systems or related discipline
- Fluency in local language (highly desirable)
