Overview
In this role you will maximise the value of SSE Renewables’ growing portfolio by coordinating Capacity Market and system services activities across Great Britain and Ireland. You’ll work with development, operations, finance, commercial and regulatory teams to ensure assets are qualified, compliant and optimised, safeguarding revenue. You’ll influence market participation across critical electricity mechanisms while supporting the energy transition. This is a cross-functional, impact-driven position with a clear revenue protection and optimisation remit.

Responsibilities
- Lead qualification, application and auction activities for Capacity Market and system services schemes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Manage ongoing contractual, regulatory and operational obligations to protect revenue streams and minimise risk
- Coordinate multiple stakeholders across development, operations and commercial teams to keep assets eligible and ready
- Develop and maintain governance, assurance and reporting processes, ensuring audit readiness
- Identify opportunities to boost commercial performance through optimisation, market participation strategies and risk management
Key requirements
- Experience managing complex commercial, contractual, regulatory or compliance-driven processes in energy/utilities
- Strong knowledge of electricity markets, energy regulation, ancillary services and capacity mechanisms
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and meet fixed deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess commercial, operational and financial impacts
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive approach to driving outcomes and continuous improvement
