Overview
In this role, you will lead a portfolio of projects within the Competition in Connections team, coordinating with customers and delivery partners to ensure delivery on time and within budget. You will oversee connection points for ICP/IDNO and support upgrades to strengthen the network. The role emphasizes accuracy, progress tracking, and proactive communication, with an in-office/field presence and travel as needed. This is a chance to contribute to SSE’s mission of reliable, low-carbon electricity infrastructure and to shape how customers choose providers for connections.

Responsibilities
- Review project plans, timelines and budgets with cross-functional teams
- Maintain proactive communication with customers and stakeholders and provide regular project updates
- Manage project budgets and recover costs from customers to avoid overspending
- Ensure projects comply with relevant industry regulations, standards and legal requirements
- Oversee connection points for ICP/IDNO and coordinate upgrades to strengthen the network
Key requirements
- Knowledge of electricity networks up to 11kVA is desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with PROMIS, GIS, and Power On is advantageous
- Experience in a customer-driven environment with strong customer service
- Familiarity with NEC contracts and working with framework partners is advantageous
- Strong technical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders
- Willingness to travel across locations; valid driving licence essential
