Whether you're at the beginning of your engineering journey or already an experienced engineer looking for your next challenge, you'll have the opportunity to help deliver the infrastructure that will enable the UK's transition to net zero. As SSEN Transmission invests billions to upgrade the network and connect renewable generation across the UK, you'll work on some of the country's largest and most ambitious transmission overhead Lines projects, helping to deliver a cleaner, more secure energy future. Working across a diverse portfolio of transmission overhead lines projects operating at voltages up to 400kV, you'll contribute to the development and delivery of innovative engineering solutions that will power communities for generations to come. You willSupport the development, design and delivery of high-voltage transmission overhead lines projects, from feasibility through to construction and commissioning. Produce and review engineering deliverables, technical specifications and scope documentation to support the successful delivery of projects. Apply safety by design principles to ensure engineering, construction and operational risks are effectively identified and managed. Work collaboratively with project teams, contractors, consultants and operational stakeholders to deliver safe, high-quality engineering solutions. Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and technical excellence across the engineering community. You haveA degree, HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline, or significant relevant industry experience. Strong technical skills in overhead line development, design, and specification required for Engineer and Senior Engineer opportunities. The ability to manage technical risk and support engineering decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

For Senior Overhead Line Engineer opportunities, you'll also have experience providing technical leadership, mentoring others in their development and leading complex engineering workstreams. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams. A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to learn, develop and contribute to the success of the wider team.
