Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following office locations, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, London, Cardiff or Reading

As a Performance Analyst, you'll join a collaborative and supportive team that sits at the centre of Energy Markets, helping colleagues understand business performance through meaningful analysis, reporting and insight.

You'll combine technical expertise with curiosity, commercial awareness and an understanding of the key drivers of value within the energy trading business, alongside strong stakeholder engagement to uncover trends, improve processes and bring data to life.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and continuously learning, while contributing to a culture where safety, wellbeing and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do.

You will Partner with colleagues across Energy Markets to develop trusted relationships and deliver insightful performance and P&L analysis that supports informed decision-making.

Create and enhance dashboards, reports and visualisations that communicate complex information clearly, helping stakeholders understand key business drivers.

Use data, modelling and analytical techniques to identify trends, opportunities and areas for continuous improvement across the business.

Support the development of efficient, sustainable reporting processes and analytical solutions, reducing manual effort and improving data quality.

Champion a positive safety culture by prioritising health, safety and wellbeing in your daily activities and supporting SSE's commitment to keeping people safe.

You Have Experience working with data and analytical tools such as SQL, Python, Databricks, GCP or similar technologies, with a passion for turning data into meaningful insights.

Strong visualisation and storytelling skills, with experience using Power BI, Tableau or equivalent tools to engage and influence stakeholders.

Commercial acumen and an understanding of the key value drivers within an energy trading environment, with the ability to connect performance insights to business value and outcomes.

A collaborative and inclusive approach, with the ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across a range of teams and disciplines.

Excellent communication skills, enabling you to explain technical concepts in a clear, supportive and accessible way.
