Overview
As Project Manager/Engineer in SSE's Connections team, you will lead the planning, execution, and coordination of projects across the Highland area to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You will liaise with clients and delivery teams, attend site meetings, and drive profitability through strong service and collaboration. You will support Safety Management Systems and governance processes, with potential to progress toward LV/HV authorisations. Travel and a company car scheme may be available.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and prioritise project outcomes for multiple Highland-area projects
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Assist clients and delivery teams; attend site meetings to keep projects on track
- Enhance profitability through outstanding customer service and collaboration improvements
- Support delivery managers in Safety Management Systems, CDM regulations, best practices, and governance
- Be willing to work toward LV & HV operational authorisations (LV/HV Switching & SAP)
- Travel across locations to support business needs; access to a vehicle provided
- Provide progress and financial reporting with precise timelines
Key requirements
- Experience creating project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Ability to meet deadlines, quality, and budget goals with timely reporting
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Project
- Familiarity with regulated industries (ideally electricity/utilities)
- Experience with governance processes and Construction (Design & Management) Regulations
- Operational knowledge of HV network is beneficial but training available
- Valid driving licence essential; company car or cash allowance may be available
